Times and Life of Vekuii Rukoro is a biography that shows how Vekuii Rukoro rose as a youth from the townships of Orwetoweni and Katutura to become one of the greatest achievers and prominent personalities in Namibia. He demonstrated what Namibians from 'unwealthy' families' can achieve through dedication and hard work.

Rukoro's story is about overcoming the adversity of the Apartheid settler-colonial system with its blatant racism. He managed to penetrate the fortified walls of the white-monopoly capital and his appointment as CEO of both SANLAM and FNB exemplified this. His political career was quite impressive. From 1989 - 1990 he was a Member of Constituent Assembly, 1990 – 2000 Member of the National Assembly, from 1990 – 1995 Deputy Minister of Justice, and from 1995 - 2000 Attorney General.

In September 2014, Rukoro was appointed Paramount Chief of the OvaHerero People.

Vekuii Rukoro was generally seen as a controversial person but the authors tried to refrain from being judgemental about his accomplishments, failures and successes. They attempted to tell his life story as objectively as possible.
