Michael Rabbow, a physician by vocation, recounts his two years of work and formative experiences in northern Namibia during the liberation struggle of the 1980s. After independence in 1990, he served for eight years as an advisor in the country's Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. During this time, he developed programs and became increasingly involved in international health policy. Upon returning to Germany, he continued his work in this field and became responsible for global health and development cooperation issues at a pharmaceutical company. This led him to numerous national and international conferences and events, bringing him into contact with many interesting and influential people. As a versatile networker and communicator, he provides impetus for structural developments and is appointed to organizations in the fields of health and development policy. Sharing this wealth of experience and initiating further discussions is the aim of his book.
